The snow season will be ending in the next coming months and
thus you will need to store your snowblower until next winter. However, do you
lack the space to store your snowblower in your garage or shed? If so, we at Elyria Storage have the space available for your snowblower. To ensure
that your snowblower is ready to use for the next season and safely stored in
our facility, there are a few steps that should be taken before placing it in storage.
1.
Do a General Check on Your Snowblower
Check and replace your engine oil if needed. Make sure all the
parts are in working order and replace any if needed. Tighten any loose bolts
or nuts.
2. Empty the Gas Tank
Although fuel stabilizers can be used, for safety
reasons, our storage facility doesn’t allow machines with gas to be stored in
our units. Thus, the gas will need to be drained from the snowblower before
storing.
3. Clean Your Snowblower
Clean off the dirt, snow, and salt to prevent corrosion or
rust buildup using a mild soap solution and a warm cloth or a power washer on
the low setting.
4. Lubricate the External Parts
Spray the external parts with a rust prevention spray to
prevent corrosion.
Taking the steps described above will ensure that your
snowblower is ready for the next season and in working condition for years to
come.
